Lloyds pharmacy's preferred charity this year is the BRITISH HEART FOUNDATION which we all think is a great cause. The fundraising activities are great fun too and we are all going to join in, in the hopes that as many of you as possible will sponsor us.

On Feb 25th we held a WEAR RED AT WORK day which was a great success and raised £51 for BHF. Our customers were invited to sample our healthy RED table and to guess the name of a handsome young bear. The bears name was Alfie.

On 23rd July, Zena and her husband Michael (and some dogs) took part in the three peaks challenge .A 25 mile hike, through the dramatic moorlands of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, climbing three of the highest peaks in Yorkshire – Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough!!! The going was really tough and on the last peak Zena had to literally claw her way up due to high winds and the steepness of the slope. She thought about giving up but great determination saw her cross the finish line only 15mins after her estimated time of 12hours. Well done to both of them, especially as they raised over £200 between them!!

Finally, Jackie, Kathy, and Ray, along with Jackies husband Ian and Vickys husband Richard, entered the Robin Hood bike ride in Sherwood forest on Sun October 16th. This was a gruelling (!!!) 36mile ride through the forest which Ray and Richard completed with ease, and Kathy and Ian had to wait for Jackie. She managed to complete it though in around four and a half hours and was very proud of herself. She also raised £75.

As you can see we are really throwing ourselves into it in the hopes that you will throw your money at us.

We will keep you posted about all the events and look out for photos of us looking stupid.
