Story
LIV is home to orphaned and abandoned children, many who are teenagers. Recently we've allocated two unused houses on the village to transform into "Youth Houses". The main two uses of the houses will be for small group studies and meetings as part of our amazing new youth programmes that have been launched (they have a large emphasis on small group discipleship in "tribes") and as common rooms.
We want to have safe spaces on the village where our teenagers can spend time and be together in an informal basis since with 6 children of all different ages living in each of our foster homes they can't do this in each other's homes.
We had funding for the first house but unfortunately a corporate partner pulled out when we had already committed to the main renovation expenses (painting, refinishing the floor and soft furnishings) so we need to raise these funds and we would love to get the second house painted, floors finished and add some simple furnishings.
For the first house we need to raise R12000 (650 pounds) to cover expenses already incurred and then another R3000 to purchase security cameras and a second hand screen for the wall. For the second house we would love to raise R18000 (1000 pounds) to allow us to paint it, finish the floors and get some basic second hand furniture and decor.
Thank you for partnering with us as we work to rescue, restore, raise and release our children.
