The LGBT National Youth Council – Great Scottish Run 10k

The LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) National Youth Council (NYC) is a group of young people who campaign for LGBT young people in Scotland. The LGBT NYC is a national youth-led project working directly with LGBT young people and focussing on LGBT issues.  Young people are at the heart of the LGBT NYC from strategic planning to the delivery of projects, events, campaigns and fundraising to meeting with key figures.

 

 

LGBT NYC’s Vision:

 

      Change – prejudiced views and discrimination, which cause too many LGBT young people harm, stress, worry or fear.

 

      Defend – the rights of all young people affected by prejudice, discrimination, homophobic, biphobic or transphobic bullying.

 

      Enlighten – all young people and enable them to live successful, happy and prosperous lives.

 

    Empower – all young people to work together for a future free from prejudice, discrimination, stereotypes and negative values.

 

The money you give will greatly help us on the way towards making our vision a reality for LGBT young people in Scotland.
