Story
The Charnwood Food Poverty Group is a multi agency group of over 30 local organisations working together towards eradicating food poverty in Charnwood. Members of CFPG, including local food banks, have continued to work through the COVID pandemic to provide hundreds of local residents with vital food supplies as they've faced ill-health, isolation, redundancy, loss of income and an increase in their household bills. As a group of churches we are fully behind the CFPG and are asking members to give generously to invest in this vital work.
Your money will help CFPG develop provision to prevent food poverty, including the purchasing of low cost surplus food, the development of training and input that equips people with meal planning, cooking and budgeting skills and to reduce food waste. You will be helping the group to reduce isolation and build community, whilst tackling poverty at the same time. Your generosity will facilitate new and pioneering initiatives in our area.
You can find out more about the Charnwood Food Poverty Group, including a list of member organisations, your closest food services, and great recipes on their website, at www.charnwood-fpg.org.uk.
Nobody deserves to go hungry; thank you.
