Story
Around 5 billion people worldwide lack access to surgical and anaesthetic care, mainly in the developing world. Many die or are left severely disabled or in pain as a result. Safe Anaesthesia Worldwide (SAWW) ensure that the benefits of anaesthesia are available wherever needed so that patients can receive the treatment they need, safely and painlessly.
This year, the Anaesthetic National Teaching Society (ANTS) and LAAMS are set to fundraise for this incredible charity. For Lancaster Medical School, we are running a virtual charity raffle in the month of September. This will involve three draws using a random number generator. The first draw will win two gift sets from The Body Shop (worth £37)! The second draw will win a Starbucks gift hamper and the third draw wins three Sultan Experience restaurant vouchers (each £5 off)!
To take part, click donate! The price of one ticket is £2 of donation, three for £5 and seven for a £10 donation. Make sure to put your full name while donating along with "LMS" if you're a student so we can check your status as a Lancaster medical student before we allocate tickets via email. Alternatively, you can send an email with evidence of your donation to aamlancaster@gmail.com. The draw will take place on the 27th of September.
We are excited for you to participate! Best of luck x
