London Marathon 2017 · 23 April 2017 ·
After running a half Marathon in October I have decided to take part in the London Marathon on Sunday 23rd April! A life long dream of mine :-)
I will running with a team of 18 runners from across Fidelity International and Eight Roads all raising money in aid of the NSPCC.
I would be very grateful for any donation so that myself and my team can raise funds for a fantastic cause.
Never has the work of the NSPCC been so much in demand as it is today. The charity offers a lifeline for children who are vunerable or who have suffered abuse at the hands of others. Last year alone Childline the free and confidential telephone number that children can call, provided over 300,000 counselling sessions to children and you adults, which is 5% increase on the previous year. On average Childline receives 3,000 calls per day but it only has the resources to answer 3 out of 4 every 4 calls.
The NSPCC is the leading children's charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. We help children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, protect those at risk, and find the best ways of preventing abuse from ever happening. Every child deserves the best possible chance to rebuild their life after abuse That’s why we’re here. That's what drives all our work. And that’s why – as long as there’s abuse – we will fight for every childhood.
Any advice or tips please let me know as I'm not quite sure what I've let myself in for....eeeekk!
Thank you :-)
Lisa
