Story
Support me in supporting street dogs in Sri Lanka by donating to the March for Street Dogs 2022
What is the challenge?
The challenge is to take 333K steps in March but I'm upping it... to a whopping 550 K steps!
What do donations go towards?
Eat. Spay. Love.
Dogstar Foundation looks after street and beach dogs in Sri Lanka (and the humans who care for them) by:
1. Feeding street and beach dogs tasty home cooked meals EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Covid-19 has impacted not only humans but animals too and many street and beach dogs lost their food sources during the pandemic when the vendors and other kind people who would feed them were unable to work. The amazing Dogstar team cooks simple, nutritious meals for dogs and cats, keeping them healthy and happy.
2. Operating spay/neuter clinics
While there is nothing cuter than a puppy, over-population of street and beach dogs is a big animal welfare issue. Dogstar's spay/neuter clinics prevent disease, suffering and unwanted pups
3. Love
The kindness and love spread by the Dogstar team is evident in waggy tails and full bellies but extends to humans too. Many dogs have owners and homes who may not be able to afford or access basic vet services like vaccinations or spaying, or might want to learn a bit more about basic pet care. Helping people help their pets is a big part of keeping everyone happy and healthy.
