Story
On the 15th April 2016, my father Tarsem Singh was struck by an object at his palace of work. 2 Ambulances, one double crewed standard Ambulance and one Advanced Paramedic were dispatched to the scene however their expertise were exhausted and they needed more help.
Critical Care Doctor Matthew Woods from the East Midlands Immediate Care Scheme was dispatched to the scene, he voluntarily treated my Dad at the scene keeping him alive and giving him a fighting chance for hours after the accident. Not only did he treat my Dad at the scene, he stayed with him and transported him to the Leicester Royal Infirmary and also to the Nottingham Queens Medical Centre.
EMICS Critical Care Doctors all volunteer their time and money to respond in their own personal vehicles which are fitted with emergency blue and green lights and sirens. The work of these Critical Care Doctors is amazing and they did everything they could to try and save my Dads life! They are much needed in our society so please help support them.
