Story
On 1st June 2023 our son, Lennon McMaugh was born sleeping, just one day after his due date. We were unexpectedly thrown in to a world that no one ever wants to or expects to be in.
I gave birth to Lennon in the Luton & Dunstable Hospital 'Forget me Not' Bereavement Suite. We spent 28 hours with him in our little bubble, cherishing the time that we had with him. His big sister and our families got to meet him and say goodbye. All of our memories of Lennon are from this room.
If we could stop any more families from going through the heartbreak we are facing, then we would, but we know this isn't possible. We can, however make some improvements to their experience and ensure that the time they do get to spend with their babies before saying goodbye is as comfortable as possible.
A new bereavement suite is being built at the Luton & Dunstable Hospital and any money raised through your generosity will go towards this. Providing care and support to families who are facing the unthinkable and spending their last hours with their baby, making as many precious memories as they can before saying their goodbyes.
Please support our cause in any way that you can. Luton and Dunstable District Netball League have kindly agreed to help us raise as much as possible at their Open Charity Tournament & Fun Day on Sunday 17th September 2023. This is being held at Stopsley High School, Luton, 10am - 2pm. There will be a raffle, food, numerous fun activities and stalls for all ages to get involved in.
