We support young people at risk of suicide to stay safe and find hope in times of need

Story

Me and several others are taking on the three highest mountains in the UK - Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, all in under 24 hours!

This is the first time for me to undertake this challenge, joining a team of varying abilities and experience. Although I have scaled Snowdon and Scafell Pike before I have yet to take on the mighty Ben Nevis and certainly not all three mountains together within a time limit!

Mental health is something close to my heart and being an active member of the Longleat walking club, I find hiking a great joy and release from the pressures of day to day life. Drawing from my experiences I have helped others to get the same enjoyment from what has become for me more than a hobby... a huge part of my life.

Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under 35 in the UK. PAPYRUS is the national charity for the prevention of young suicide and believes that many young suicides are preventable. They operate HOPELINEUK, a confidential call, text, and email helpline for young people with thoughts of suicide or those concerned about a young person who may have thoughts of suicide. Every £5 raised can help pay for a potentially life-saving contact to HOPELINEUK from a young person wanting to stay safe from their thoughts of suicide.

Join me on my journey, from my training through to hopefully completing this great challenge, and please support me if you can! Thank you x
