Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you know, Steve was diagnosed with a very rare blood disorder - myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) - back in July 2018. Fewer than 500 people are diagnosed with this condition in the UK each year, he had to have something a bit different didn't he?!

One of the problems with MPNs is that they have a tendency to progress and develop into leukaemia, as was the case with Steve. But, because they are so rare, not a great deal is known about what causes them, how best to treat and there is currently no specific cure for anyone with MPN.

That's where MPN Voice come in. They are funding important research and clinical trials designed to better understand the disease and, eventually, develop a cure. They can't do this without money, obviously, which is where you come in!

I would be very grateful (and so would Steve) if you would consider making a donation in his memory to help others affected by MPN. Every little helps and together we really can make a difference and beat this.

Thanks so much in advance.

Lots of love
