For this year's charity event, a team of 59 Kings employees, including company CEO; Anthony King are taking part in Tough Mudder Yorkshire on the 6th August at Broughton Hall, Skipton to raise funds for our nominated charity; Martin House Children's Hospice.

Tough Mudder, if you have never heard of it, is a team-oriented 10-12 mile obstacle course designed to test physical strength and mental grit. Tough Mudder puts camaraderie over finisher rankings and is not a race but a team challenge.

For the past 4 years Kings Security has been fundraising for our chosen charity Martins House Hospice (www.martinhouse.org.uk) - an incredible local children’s charity that works with some amazing kids and families.

As a parent of 5 great boys, I can’t even bring myself to imagine the pain of watching the ordeal of a seriously ill child, who you love so dearly, go through the discomfort and treatment that they do and the feeling as a parent of complete desperate helplessness; a pain which I know some off you have unsparingly endured.

We measure blessings and success in many ways and so often we focus on our bank accounts, homes, cars and possessions, right up until the point our health is touched, or the health of someone we love and then we realise the greatest blessings we have are good health, life and family.
