Story
Every year, in the final week of term, the Year 8 children at King’s Hall School plan and manage a summer fête, with proceeds going to a different charity each time. It is one of the highlights of their last week at school before they leave and head to senior school. The stalls and games, run by the children themselves, are always good fun – sponge the teacher seems to be a popular one!
This year, they have chosen to support Young Somerset, an organisation who works with young people to help them achieve positive social and economic outcomes.
The largest youth work charity in Somerset, they offer support, and encourage young people to take responsibility for themselves and to become actively involved in shaping their communities.
As part of their work, the charity focuses on delivering wellbeing support, using a variety of techniques to assist young people who feel they might need some help, but don’t know who to turn to.
In light of recent announcements on Covid-19 restrictions, we are unable to welcome parents to the event, and so our pupils will be visiting the ‘stall holders’ to have some fun and help raise much needed funds.
Instead of money being brought in on the day we are asking families to make a donation and to support the children using this JustGiving page.

We would like to thank you all for helping to support the children with their fundraising efforts.
