We have set this Justgiving page up so that anyone who feels they would like to buy flowers for Kim's funeral, or make a donation in his memory, can use this money more effectively by supporting his favourite charity.  

Kim was one of the founding trustees of Alive & Well which was initially formed in 2018 and whose trustees spent a year and a half raising money to buy a drilling rig, drilling equipment and a landrover to ship to Sierra Leone. Sierra Leone was and still is, one of the poorest countries in the world with a high rate of infant mortality caused a lack of clean water.  The trustees achieved their first funding target in 2010 and five trustees, including Kim flew out at their own expense to join the equipment for 6 weeks, thereby starting the adventure of drilling water wells in some of the most remote villages in the Pujehun region.

Since that time the charity has sunk in excess of 100 wells and brought clean water to over 17,000 people who otherwise would have continued to suffer with water-borne diseases from polluted sources.

The charity continues, sinking new wells and maintaining the wells they have created. Kim's tireless support to this charity has been dedicated and passionate. His input to the trustee team has been hugely important and is going to be much missed.

All monies donated will go directly to supporting the continued work in Sierra Leone.  There are no paid trustees, all their work is voluntary.
