On the 4 of August this year I will be attempting to climb Kilimanjaro with friends and family (13 in all) at which we hope to reach the summit in 6 days at a height of 5895m – which is higher than Everest Base Camp.

I know this will be a life changing experience for us all and together we are looking to raise over £10K for various charities from the UK and across the world.

I have decided to raise money for a charity that is making a difference in the lives of 1000s of people across the UK. The Air Ambulance, "DLRAA", are a charity funded organisation which relies on the support of the community.

From personal experience, the Air Ambulance, assisted myself when I was involved in a life threating car accident with a mobile crane on the 3rd November 2009, near Rockingham Castle. After a long road to recovery, I would love to achieve a ultimate milestone and raise funds for the Air Ambulance, that sometimes go unnoticed for all their hard work done.
