Story
My daughter and some friends are taking part in the Bournemouth Half Marathon, I was persuaded to register as she thought it would be a great idea for me to take part, apparently it would raise my fitness level (and lose weight !!!)
I have completed this distance previously but when a lot younger and agile, this time around its a totally different experience. So I have three goals...
- The first is to complete the distance
- The second is to try and achieve a time under 2 hours 30 minutes
- The third, most important and to make all the pain worth while,
raise some money for TEDDY20 a Children’s Cancer Charity.
If you can support me and the charity it would be very much appreciated, every pound makes a huge difference and for me the determination to get over the finish line.
Thank you for your support. Below is a short paragraph about the charity, you can find out a lot more at their website www.teddy20.org
In 2010 we lost our beautiful boy Ted, after an immense battle with a very rare form of bone cancer, Ewings Sarcoma. We set up Teddy20 in memory of our Son, so that we could provide some of the same support that was given to our family during the hardest time of our lives.Teddy20 became a registered charity in 2014 and since then, with your support, we have continued to grow as a community based charity providing emotional and financial support to hundreds of children, young people and their families across the Wessex Region.
