As some of you will know my father was diagnosed with Alzheimers 2½ years ago.  During this time we have been on a journey that could not have happened without the help of the Alzheimers Society and in particular Rosemarie Thompson.  I felt it was time not only to give back some much needed funds to carry on the support of Alzheimers Dementia patients but to try to raise awareness and funds for the research into the disease.  I am amazed by how many people I know that have been affected by dementia in some form or another either personally or by association with relatives, friends etc. 

I have signed up for a fully self funded 3 day 230 mile cycle trip from London to Brussels via Calais and Bruges.  My aim is to top £1000 but any more than that would be a great bonus.

Please give what you can to help the Society continue their fantastic work for the patients and their carers and particularly in the research to try and find not only the cause but the drugs to help combat this disease.  If the last few years have taught me anything it is that you never know what is around the corner and that there are many organisations out there only too pleased to help out.
