Story
Thank you for visiting my page which has been set up to help me raise as much money as I can for my charity
The Stroke Association
To raise money for this charity I will be running in this year's Cardiff Half Marathon on Sunday October 14th 2012.
I ran in The London Marathon in 2005 for Help The Hospices, in memory of my dad and mum-in-law, and raised over £2000 and am now putting on my running shoes again!
I will be running as my mam has had 2 brain haemorrhages and grandad 'data' have both suffered strokes and I hope that the money I raise will help other people and their families who find themselves in similar situations.
The Stroke organisation works to prevent stroke, support everyone touched by stroke, fund research, and campaign for the rights of stroke survivors of all ages. The charity is launching a stroke awareness raising month in May 2012 and the focus of this year’s Action on Stroke Month is Life After Stroke. This campaign will highlight the everyday difficulties that stroke survivors and their families face and what needs to change to ensure stroke survivors are supported to make the best possible recovery.
What I promise you is that I will dig as deep as possible on the day to run the distance, I ask you to dig as deep as you possibly can by sponsoring me now online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Stroke Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Thanks so much for your support - wish me luck!!! Kevin Morrissey
