Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Usually at this time we would be reaching out to our
community for food donations for Open Hands Leicester over the Harvest period. However, this year we have adapted the way in which we will support those in need by creating our own online fundraising page on Just Giving.
Open Hands are are a Leicester charity who have given out more than 21,000 meals through food hamper provision and served in excess of 1,650 hot meals. They’ve given emergency food provision to many lost and anxious people throughout the current crisis and have met many new people who have not needed their services before. They’re passionate about giving families hope and help at a time when some are struggling for the first time. To find out a bit more about what Open Hands has been doing recently and the way they’ve impacted others please click on the following link: https://youtu.be/IlkfA3yw0AM
Next Friday 25th September Kestrel Mead Primary Academy are having an ‘Autumnal Non-Uniform Day’ to help raise needed funds for Open Hands Leicester. Please send your child into school wearing Autumnal
colours such as brown, red, orange and yellow and simply head over to this page to make a donation. This money will go directly to the charity and they will use it to purchase food for those in need. Let’s see if we can reach our school target of £800!
