Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I was asked some 4 months ago if I would like to cycle from John O' Groats to Lands End for Charity. It seemed like a good idea at the time but now reality has hit me when thinking of the pain I will have to endure. The last time I entered a large cycle event (180km in France) I broke 2 ribs and experienced treacherous weather and at the time seemed like hell on earth, hopefully I will be more fortunate this time.
I have been in training on my turbo trainer and as you will see that whilst I am smiling for the photo, I have no hesitation that the smile will soon be wiped from my face on commencement and during the 9 day challenge to complete the 1,000 miles.
I have chosen Shelter for my sponsored charity as they do so much for the homeless and I'm sure you would agree that those without a home are also without the comfort of stable and loving family environment. A situation we can only try to understand.
All money raised will go to the charity "Shelter" as I have funded all entry costs, travel and overnight accommodation (in a tent) So, think of me between 10th and 19th June and please find time to make a generous contribution and help those that need shelter.
Thank you and I will keep you posted with my progress.
