Story
After a tough couple of years where Cancer appeared to engulf life, losing my sister-in-law, my brother thankfully overcoming his battle after a tough fight and then devastatingly losing my mother-in-law, I was absolutely devastated and mortified to then learn that one of my best friends in the world, Tracey Reed, was to have her own fight with Breast Cancer.
Thankfully Tracey has won her battle with the disease too but with consequences that means she will deal with the after effects for the rest of her life.
Cancer Support are an incredible charity, they provide practical and emotional support to people dealing with cancer, during treatment but amazingly after treatment too and it’s been great to see how they have helped Tracey and still continue to do so.
I wanted to help a charity that means so much to Tracey but who can help so many other people as we all never know when we may just need their help too!
Now anyone who knows me knows I work super hard but that I live for the weekend and LOVE to party and socialise with my family and friends.
What could I give up that I love almost as much as my loved ones? Well I can’t give up the gym as it’s my career however, I can give up alcohol (I feel like I am regretting this already 😂) and for SIX WHOLE MONTHS.
So here goes from 1st September 2022 to 1st March 2023, during Tracey’s hen party, wedding, Christmas - you name it, I am going to be alcohol free, so wish me luck and I would be super grateful for any support to this brilliant charity.
