In memory of Kay Savva

We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved grandmother. A lady never short of a joke, a poem, or a freestyle song. She went by a few names Kay, Kiki, Kyriacou, Giggs, and was loved by all.
Kay was born in Eptakomi, a place she had cherished memories of as a young girl. She continually told stories of the days when she was a child and wrote many wonderful poems about Cyprus. She travelled to London at the age of 18 to visit the Queen and then planned to return to her beloved village in Cyprus however she was not expecting to meet the love of her life Harry, who she was married to for 52 happy years. They owned the Cabin Cafe in Tottenham for 37 years working together where she felt happiest; cooking. After retiring Kay volunteered to work at Oxfam in Palmers Green. She made lots of friends there and it kept her busy since she loved to talk and meet new people and she really enjoyed helping out. Harry would walk up to Palmers Green and pick her up once she finished work and they would then walk home together before popping into Morrisons for a cup of tea. Kay loved to tell stories, write poetry and have friends and family surrounding her. She was the kindest, most generous lady who was so witty and always put everyone else's needs before her own. Kay will be sorely missed, she will always be in our hearts and she has now gone to join her beloved Harry.
Oxfam is a charity our grandmother held close to her heart and we know she would be grateful for all donations made. If you prefer to provide a donation in a different form this will also be warmly received.
Thank you,
Kay’s grandchildren xx
