Islas Big Fundraiser

Fundraising for Childhood Tumour Trust
£705
raised of £500 target
Isla’s Big Fundraiser, 17 May 2022
We raise funds and awareness to support young people wth NF1

Story

As many of you know, Isla has Neurofibromatosis Type 1 and every few years likes to do a big fundraiser to raise money for Childhood Tumour Trust. This is a charity that means a lot to us as they provide fabulous activities for the children and young adults mostly free of charge. These include baking sessions, arts and crafts, sign language classes. Camps away for the children and young adults to meet and bond with people with NF1 just like them. They also provide the opportunity for days out to theme parks so the families can all meet up. These are just some of the things the charity does, they also work and advocate for NF1 throughout the medical community as unfortunately NF1 is still not as well known as it should be. This is because it is a variable condition that affects everyone differently, around 1 in 3,000 have this making it more common than cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy and Huntington’s disease combined hence the work the Childhood Tumour Trust does here makes an impact that we are all grateful for.

Now what Isla wants to do this year to raise the much needed funds is to cut her beautiful long hair (which will then get donated to The Little Princess Trust), hold a raffle and us adults will  complete the Yorkshire 3 Peak challenge on Saturday 14th May. Please sponsor us if you can, even £1 makes a big difference.

This page is set up to take normal donations but also the raffle ticket money. To just pay for the tickets, they will be £2 a strip or 3 for £5, you make your donation in the normal way but please email me on kayleighyork86@gmail.com or message me on Facebook with your donation reference number so I can verify. I will then either send you a picture of your tickets or pass them to you personally if I will see you. The raffle will take place on Saturday 21st May when Isla will be home to draw the winners live on Facebook.
