Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My Dad was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary fibrosis in 2019, with a prognosis of 3-5 years on average for any patient with this disease. Since then has become a shell of the man he was before he was diagnosed with IPF. Growing up my Dad was always a strong figure in my life, always working hard, confident, enjoyed hobbies and socialising and loved life, especially with his family and friends. He was a great model of how to live life to its fullest. This disease has taken something from him.

Since his disease has progressed, my Dad has lost his independence and is unable to do anything for himself and he has lost his love of life and finds day to day things a struggle. He is currently on Oxygen 24 hours a day for the for see able future.

I am organising a quiz in honour of how brave he has been so far throughout this disease. Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis is currently a very underfunded disease and so it needs all the support it can in finding a treatment plan or cure, which currently there are none that are highly successful. Dates and times to follow of the upcoming event!
