Story
Afrika Tikkun serves communities that are particularly vulnerable to the spread of infectious disease. As a global humanitarian family, we ask you to join us in providing emergency services and resources to keep our township communities safe.
The township communities Afrika Tikkun works in are characterised by high levels of poverty and limited access to knowledge and resources.
People without adequate safety nets may not have the luxury of staying at home with paid sick leave; lack disposable cash and cannot easily stockpile food. Township spaces are characterised by shack dwelling, making social distancing and isolation extremely difficult.
