Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!
To provide further support to the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) (which is always needed), raise awareness for World Sight Day 2011, AND so as not to always be the "Cheerleader" on the sidelines, I thought it was about time I, er, extended my involvement level... by say... jumping out of a plane at 13,000ft, with a freefall for about 50 seconds, reaching a maximum speed of 120 mph!!!... Not bad for someone with a fear of heights! =D
....
Abit of background... For those that don't know, my boyfriend Paul has been supporting the RNIB for awhile now and doing so by competing in marathons around the globe this year! The work of the RNIB is closer to home as our friend Gary, has Choroideremiaan (a hereditary retinal eye disease) and is already visually impaired. He will eventually completely lose his sight. * I have been inspired *
All money raised will go to the RNIB on Friday, 7 October. Every day 100 people in the UK start losing their sight. RNIB gives people who have lost their sight vital support to help them find their lives again. Right now RNIB can only reach one in three of the people who need our help the most, so every bit of support is greatly appreciated!
