Story
Hi, my name's Katie and I am a Year 12 student at the Saint John Henry Newman School. In the last few days I have been diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin Lymphoma. This has been a real shock to all my family and friends. I am soon to start a very intense regime of chemo and I have been informed of the many side effects, the big one being hair loss. This has been a scary thing to think about but I want to try and make this situation as positive as it can be. I have decided to shave my hair before treatment starts and would like to use this as an opportunity to raise money for a charity that is very close to my heart. I will also be donating my hair to the Little Princess Trust.
In 2014 I was lucky enough to visit Uganda and spend time in the KISS communities of Hoima and Kasambya. I was able to witness first hand the incredible support the charity provides for children and families and this has been something I will never forget.
I am so grateful for any donation you can make as it really will make a difference. Thank you so much.
Katie
