Playathon · 12 October 2012 to 14 October 2012 ·

Young people are the life force of Pegasus. From our theatre in the heart of East Oxford, we provide the inspiration and support for each young person to embark on an individual journey filled with creative opportunities, aspiration and imagination.

Story

In this Olympic year and to celebrate its half-century of existence, The Pegasus Theatre in Oxford is staging its own theatrical marathon. The Playathon will involve up to 50 teams reading from 50 plays over one culture-packed weekend. Anyone can come and be a star and teams include everyone from youth groups to dramatic societies, budding writers to local businesses. A few celebrities are also dropping by to show their support for the great work of the Pegasus Theatre. Radiohead’s Philip Selway as well as members of the Eastenders cast are among the famous faces appearing.

I am performing ‘The Vagina Monologues’ – a moving/ comic/ taboo and meaningful play, to support Pegasus’ work and ‘Violence Against Women’. We are performing on Friday 12 October at 10pm – please make a donation but also come and watch our performance as we need you in the audience (it’s free) -  Just turn up 15 mins beforehand!
