Kathryn's Going Bald for Besty and exercise Challenge

Going Bald for Besty and exercise Challenge · 29 January 2021
Historically hospitals have always relied on public support, even after the founding of the NHS; Hull and East Yorkshire (HEY) Hospitals are no different. Our mission as a charity is to raise money to help the Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital do more to ensure every patient receives the best and most modern care possible. Your support will help provide additional specialist equipment and support services, as well as aid the transformation of spaces and facilities within the hospitals for patient and visitor comfort alike.
Hi all - I am fundraising for WISHH - in support of Castle Hill Queens Centre where my Best friend is receiving treatment for Cancer.
All that know me know I love my hair and change it every month to something new and fab colours - but it's all going to try and raise money for a fab cause.
That's right - I'm going bald - very bald - bic bald!
This is a choice for me - but for many going through the trauma of cancer treatment this can be a devastating side effect that can effect self esteem mood and outlook.
I am trying to support my friend to let her know although I can't possible know what she's going through - she is not alone - and I am with her Hair or no hair - she is beautiful inside and out and she is a super star to me and all who know her.
And cos I don't feel that's enough - I'm also challenging myself to 1000 press-up, 1000 sit ups and 1000 star jumps in a day - might not sound much to some but in lockdown I've been a bit erm lax with exercise so this will be a challenge too!
Please donate - every penny makes a difference
Thank you for your time
