Every day in May I am going to write and share a haiku (17 syllable) poem in order to raise money for the brilliant work of CHIPS in Brixton and Ghana. 31 poems in 31 days! 

I won't be able to over-think it (ahhh!). The poems maybe rubbish, mediocre or even genius!

If I have one of those exhausting, frustrating days I may have to skip a day but I promise to write 31 poems in total as close to May as possible. 

I'm raising money for a charity very close to my heart. CHIPS (https://chipspeace.org/) has responded quickly to the Covid-19 pandemic providing crucial frontline help to families across Brixton at the harsh edge of the crisis. Many are struggling financially and have a range of complex issues which the team is providing support and advice on. They are also continuing to run online sessions for young people in the area at serious risk of becoming involved in gang violence.

The team living and working in Ghana are preparing to respond to the virus as it hits the rural areas - sharing the most up to date information with the community and continuing to ensure those most vulnerable are supported.
