After 15 months of fundraising and planning, I have just returned from an exhilarating trip to Vietnam with Plan International UK, a global children's charity supporting children within their community in 51 developing countries.  As part of a small group, I trekked for 5 days and 4 nights in the little known Pu Luong nature reserve southwest of Hanoi and visited a number of Plan Vietnam's community projects near Thai Nyguen, a mountainous region also in Northern Vietnam.  
Throughout 2015, I celebrated my half century by fundraising for Plan and was overwhelmed by the generosity of friends, family and people I barely know, in helping me to work towards my fundraising target.  Thank you (and especially to all those of you who became serial sponsors!!).  I will continue to raise funds for Plan UK through Poems On Demand  (www.poemsondemand.weebly.com).
