Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.

During the month of February, I will be walking 500,000 steps. That's the equivalent of over nine marathons, or 236.742 miles, or 381 kilometres. In other words: a LOT of walking. To achieve my goal, I will need to walk an average of 18,000 steps every day for 28 days (that's around 59 miles a week). My head and heart are completely up for the challenge -- my feet are much less sure.

I am doing this to raise awareness and funds for the World Endometriosis Research Foundation. One in ten women have Endometriosis but it is still chronically under-funded, under-researched and ineffectively treated. I have been inspired to try and help raise awareness and money by family and friends who endure it with courage, strength and stoicism.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Whatever you give is hugely appreciated. And if you can recommend some podcasts or playlists for me to listen to during all this walking, I'd be grateful...

I'll update the page throughout the month so do check back in if you'd like to know how it's going (and how much my feet are complaining).
