Story
Many children and their families in Sindhupalchok, a region north of Kathmandu, have lost their homes after the recent flash floods and land slides and the monsoon season has just started...
We want to help two villages, Kiul and Chanaute, which have been hit hard in the district. We want to help them with clothes, tents, blankets and emergency lights so they can get through this disaster some what safe.
Across these villages there are about 25 homeless families, consisting of 109 people of which 30 are children. Childreach Nepal has confirmed with their people in the villages what is needed, see below:

£85/tent
Blankets for 110 people
2 blankets/unit | £12/unit
110 Solar powered emergency lights

At Karsons we have a personal connection with Nepal as two of our staff were born there and one director spent 5 months volunteering for Childreach Nepal. Karsons have for the last couple of years supported Childreach Nepal in various projects to empower children, women and various communities in Nepal.
Childreach Nepal is a local NGO that works in partnership with local communities and the government of Nepal in various sectors related to Health, Education and Protection of children, whilst funding, employing and then empowering local offices to help unlock children's potential.
Childreach Nepal and the UK registered charity Hope for Children work in partnership and all the monies raised in the UK will be eligible for tax relief therefore can be leveraged by Hope for Children to create a grant for Childreach Nepal to do the work onsite.
Karsons has a strong trust and great relationship with Childreach Nepal and will continue to uphold this relationship to support them in their endeavours, especially during disasters like these.
