Story
Hi Everyone.
5 years ago, I started using the couch to 5k app to improve my fitness and lose weight. In addition, my twin sister and I took part in the park runs at Pomphrey Hill Bristol where we have now completed over 100 races and even have the t-shirts to prove it. After a lot of further training, I have also ran in the Bristol and Birmingham 10k races and the Bristol Half Marathon. I have now been fortunate enough to get a place in the London Marathon 2021 which is an event I have always wanted to do but never dreamt I would get the chance. I thought that I would use this opportunity to support and put the spotlight on a fantastic local charity OTR which is very close to my heart. Considering the past year that we have had, I believe OTR's services will be more vital now than ever, so I am very proud and honoured to run for this Young People's mental health charity.
OTR is a mental health social movement by and for 11-25 year olds in Bristol and South Gloucestershire offering free and confidential services. OTR isn't just a charity providing mental health services, it's a mental health movement mobilised to support, promote and defend the mental health, rights and social position of young people!
