On the 10th June 2013 our beautiful daughter Kathryn, known as Kat, suffered a massive intercranial bleed whilst at work.  She was put on a life support machine but sadly never recovered.  

Kathryn Mary Dowling gained her Angel Wings on the 11th June 2013 at the age of 25.

Kat always carried a donor card and we take some comfort knowing that she has helped 9 people regain a better quality of life.

Kat was in the Critical Care Unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital.  Whilst there she was treated with the utmost respect and dignity by the staff.  Although she remained unconscious she was spoken to, as well as the family, as to each medical procedure that was to take place.  

We only have admiration for the staff who work in that Unit and therefore a charity walk up Mount Snowdon on the 14th June 2014 is to take place in memory of our daughter.  The proceeds from this site will go directly to the Critical Care Unit.
