Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This year's birthday should have seen a big celebration, but best laid plans and all of that. You all know the situation. And I've gone from planning trips away and potential parties to a couple of pared-down meals out, and finally to a takeaway for two. And that's OK because despite this rotten year, there is so much to be grateful for.

So, I thought in lieu of meeting up with you all, I could do something more useful. I've thought hard about which charity to support and this one combines 2 passions of mine - Africa (in particular Uganda) and cancer charity.

Hospice Africa (Uganda) is the model Hospice for Hospice Africa and commenced their service for patients and families on 23 September 1993. They provide a Palliative Care service to patients with Cancer and/or HIV/AIDS. Do have a look at their website to see the work they are doing.

“It is in giving, that we receive.”
