As most of you are aware, I’ve been living with Type 1 diabetes for almost 14 years and have been fortunate enough to have always had access to the professional care/medication I need. Not everyone living with diabetes is as fortunate as I have been—some cannot afford or get access to the insulin that they need to survive. This can result in both long and short term health complications, and even death. I see headlines all too often where families are faced with the decision to buy insulin for their child over putting food on the table, or diabetics rationing their insulin until their next paycheck, and always makes me so emotional...SO this year for my bday I’d love it if you could donate a few bucks to this fundraiser to help those less fortunate than me access the insulin they need to survive. I know this year has been tough for everyone, so even just sharing this fundraiser or spending sometime educating yourself on this issue would mean so much to me 💙
