Ticket sales for Fabulous! For CLIC Sargent are now in excess of 135 which will contribute a further £1620 to this total, hope to raise £750 through raffle so it's looking good please keep donating!!!

I really appreciate you taking the time, and hopefully the money to support Clic Sargent!!

When donating its easy to forget why exactly you are handing your hard earned cash over!! Without completely depressing you I'll tell you why I do the fund raising and leave it up to you to decide on the value of your donation, which regardless of how big or small is very much appreciated and essential for the continuing work of the charity.

Why this charity?

As you know I am so fortunate to have 4 very gorgeous and healthy children. The thought of something as awful as cancer touching them practically stops my heart. I can only imagine the heartache and stress that the entire family unit deals with when a child is diagnosed and then proceeds through treatment and recovery from cancer. 

"Every day 10 families are told that their child has cancer. Diagnosis often comes as a shock. Treatment usually starts straightaway and can last up to three years.

As the children’s cancer charity, CLIC Sargent is there… with clinical, practical and emotional support, every step of the way."

Clic Sargent helps those very people through the entire journey, and the small task of running a marathon is nothing compared to that. I do suggest you check out the Clic sargent site as the work being done is amazing!! If it was my child I would want you to donate and I'm sure you would say the same.

How much?

I joke about giving the value of a Starbucks coffee but seriously, its not enough to really ruin your week, I'm not asking for your grocery money, little from lots would help so please encourage your friends, family or colleagues to log on and make a small donation, as I said every bit helps. The simple act of sending the link to this page to all on your email list may generate many more donations!!! Maybe you could cut out Starbucks once a month until the marathon and donate that, something small can add up to something big!

My Personal Appreciation:

I have only run one marathon before, Dublin 09. Overall it was an amazing experience but it wasn't an easy task, several motivations kept me going and the friends and family who had supported me in my fund raising all featured in my head at one point or another  throughout the 26.2 miles your support helped me to get across that line and it will do again this time!!!
