Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
I have never run a marathon before, but having just turned 40, I'd like to do something really special this year. There are two charities which mean a lot to two friends of mine. Being unable to decide which one to run for, I've opted for both of them.
One of these charities is the PiggyBankKids and the Jennifer Brown Research Fund . The other is the National Ankylosing Spondylitis Society. Please feel free to either choose one of my charities, or preferably if you could split your donation between both I would be most grateful. I've added a link to my National Ankylosing Spondylitis Society page below.
My friend Jennifer MacFarlane's first baby Gregor was stillborn at 39 weeks of pregnancy. Since then and the subsequent births of her 2 daughters, now adorable 4 and 2 year olds she has supported PiggyBankKids and the Jennifer Brown Research Fund which funds important work into pregnancy problems and neo-natal research.
Medical advances and research take a long time to progress and require significant funding. If you are a mother, grandmother, dad, grandad or have nieces or nephews who hopefully arrived into this world without complication I would ask if you would consider supporting us in our marathon efforts. Jennifer is also running in the marathon as part of a relay team. We will both be hoping that our daughters' generation will reap the benefits of medical research of this generation so that fewer families will have to face the pain of losing part of their precious future.
