Books change lives!
For the second year I'm taking part in London Ride 100 on 10th August 2014. This time I'm pedaling to raise money to help make a difference in sub-Saharan Africa, the Palestine and Sri Lanka. By raising money for Book Aid, I'm helping to send books to people who don't have them, nor have easy access to them; and for every £100 I raise means that the charity can send 50 books to those who would really appreciate them.
Without literacy people are not able to access education or healthcare, take advantage of opportunities for employment, or participate in social, economic and political decisions which affect their lives. And without books, literacy is very hard to foster and maintain.
Biking for books!
Cycling from the Olympic Park to Pall Mall, with 100 miles in between is my contribution to this worthy cause – I hope you'll contribute too. To see what a difference books can make please watch this short video.
