Joe Foti was a skilled cytotechnologist and valued mentor, colleague, educator, leader and friend. He spent his entire 38 year career at Rochester General Hospital and Rochester Regional Health where he earned the admiration and respect of his many colleagues.

In addition to dedicating the new Phlebotomy Suite at Linden Oaks Lipson Cancer Center in Joe's memory, Joe's colleagues- past and present- are also creating this Joseph A. Foti Educational Fund. This fund will be used for educational opportunities for Rochester General Hospital nurses, APP's and lab & pathology staff in support of the Rochester Regional Health Acute Leukemia, Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapies Program. Education and learning were important to Joe, and supporting this new Rochester Regional Health oncology program in particular will benefit others like Joe for years to come.

While the Joseph A. Foti Educational Fund is being created by Joe's colleagues, other family and friends are welcome to join us. We've set an initial goal of raising $25,000; if gifts surpass this amount we may be able to create an endowment. All contributions are equally important; no gift is too big or too small- Joe would have wanted it that way.
