Story
Hi all I hope you and all your families are keeping safe and well during these times! On the 20th and 21st of May I will be doing a charity Boxing challenge on my punchbag in my bedroom, in my electric wheelchair as I have a condition called cerebal palsy, to raise some funds for Pendleside Hospice! The challenge will consist of 100 rounds across 2 days, each 10 rounds will last 30 minutes and will be 30 seconds on and 10 seconds off! I will be livestreaming the challenge on my Facebook page (Joe Skinner.) The reason why I'm doing the challenge is like many of you out there I have had my life affected by the awful disease that is cancer. As some of you may know my Mum is a cancer survivor and also my teaching assistant when I was at school the much loved Mick Ennis of Blessed Trinity RC College in Burnley, unfortunately passed away from cancer in 2014. Mick was like a dad to me and worked at Blessed Trinity for almost 40 years! I still think about him every day and I thought why not raise some much needed funds for Pendleside Hospice who gave him excellent care before he died. Fitness is a massive part of my day and helps me manage my physical and mental health issues really well. I am wondering if you could all like share and donate if you can with as many people and across any platforms that you can to help raise some funds for this excellent charity! Thanks for taking the time to read this message take care and stay safe all! Love Joe x
