My name is Jonjo and I am 11 years old. My nanny died from cancer and I miss her lots so I do lots of fundraising in her memory. So far I have raised £105,000 and I have generated over £1 million in awareness for Cancer Research UK. I spend a lot of my time organising special walks to help raise awareness and funds to fight cancer.
I have just finished 66 mile 6 day walk in my nannys memory, I have also completed to other 30 mile 3 days walks, climbed a mountain and I travel to visit people fighting cancer and to speak at events. I do lots of things because I really dont like cancer and I want to help find a cure.
I always walk in a special t-shirt and I ask people to send me names of the people they have lost to cancer. On the last day of my walks I carry flowers in their memory and all of the names are on my t-shirt so I walk in memory of everyone. I ask people to walk with me and to carry the flowers if they have lost someone. When I get to the end of my walk I call out all of the names.
On 4th April I will be visiting my great granddads bed in the cemetery of St Patricks in Laurencetown and I will start to walk to my great grannys bed in Milltown Cemetery in Belfast. I will be walking 30 miles in 3 days. Both of them great grandparents died from cancer.
