Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
brightontobrighton is my story from the Brighton marathon 2015 to the Brighton marathon 2016.
In April 2015 I ran the Brighton marathon in a time of 3hrs 29. This was a new PB and I was delighted as I had discovered in February this year that I had a torn meniscus that required a knee operation.
I put this off until May 2015 after the Brighton marathon but the operation is now done. I have undergone a lot of rehab after the operation and have now decided to do a year of running and cycling events, hopefully on a new knee, which I plan to do and raise funds for Leukaemia and Lymphoma, a charity I have supported since 2009:
The Surrey Sportive - Completed on 28th June 2015 (85 miles)
The ride London 100 - Completed on 2nd August 2015 (100 miles)
The Great South run 2015 - 25th October
The Surrey Half marathon 2016 - March
The Brighton Marathon 2016 - April 2016
My long term aim is to recover and comeback stronger than before and beat my time and set a new PB at the Brighton marathon 2016.
I have now cycled further than I have ever done before a have a century of riding behind me, now that's a long way!! I now need to focus on some running rehab to get me back up to speed and my next goal is the Great South run in October.
