Story
The challenge I’ve set myself is part bike part hike/run. I’ll be cycling up the zig zag road of Box Hill until I reach 26.2 miles, the downs don’t count. Each assent of the hill is 1.5 miles long and 400 feet of elevation. If my maths is correct I’ll need to climb the hill 18 times which will take me to 27 miles and an elevation gain of 7200 ft or 2194 metres. I’ll then switch my cycling shoes for my trainers and climb the hill on a slightly different route another 8 times making the total climb count to 26.
Thank you for your support.

The reason:
During lockdown the one thing we can do is go out for some exercise on our own or with someone else. So, a group of us (on our own but connected via our phones) will attempt to run/walk/cycle 26.2 miles and each complete a marathon. With challenges faced on an unprecedented level at the moment for young people in our community, we are going to challenge our selves so that we can raise support for Regenerate working with young people through the pandemic. All support raised will go towards providing youth activities for young people on the Putney and Roehampton estates.
