As a team we have thought for some time about doing a challenge for charity. With lockdown there has been a 25% increase in domestic violence and that’s just the cases reported. Undoubtedly, the figure will be higher with some victims too scared to seek help with fewer escape routes available and coping mechanisms. 

We therefore intend to take on a 800km run/walk/cycle in 30 days to raise vital funds for Cardiff Women's Aid, who continue to operate during this pandemic providing vital services to victims of domestic abuse. 

Cardiff Women’s Aid provides specialist support services to women and children who are/have experienced domestic abuse. They provide a range of services including emergency temporary accommodation, crisis support, children’s services, group and individual therapeutic counselling sessions - for more information please visit:
