I and a few of my friends have decided to walk in Peru in October to raise funds for The Beatson in Glasgow. To be perfectly honest I have never really done much for charity and this has come about after threating to do something for a few years now. The charity chosen is a fantastic cause.

I and all of my family have been to the Beatson often recently. My brother Martin has been recieving daily treatment in the form of radiotherapy and chemotherapy for the past seven weeks. We all hope and pray that he makes a full recovery. My dad was also treated there. You could not meet nicer or friendlier people anywhere and it really is a humbling experience.

My target is £3k but in all honesty I hope to raise double that and have made a good start with other events. Please give generously and give as much as you can. Its a great great cause and they really need our help.
