Story
Thank you Tottenham Hotspur for your support and putting our names on the @SpursOfficial website.@ProstateUK http://m.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/club/cycle-on-you-spurs-190516/
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
As you may know John was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in Spring 2015, but he's one of the lucky ones, his cancer was identified early and he received first class treatment from an excellent consultant, Professor Eden and as a result at his 6-month checkup in December he was declared as currently 'all clear'. Now it's our ambition to stay healthy and support Prostate Cancer UK to help others.
So John & Sam are going to take part as Father and Son together in the 145 mile Football to Amsterdam 2016 bicycle ride, starting from the Olympic Stadium in London on 3rd June 2016. John hasn't been on a bike for a couple of years, whilst Sam doesn't even own a bike and last got on one when he was 6-years old! (But you never forget, do you?). This will help us to achieve both goals, stay healthy and support Prostate Cancer UK whilst participating in a great event. What’s even better is that we shall be cycling as a part of the Tottenham Hotspur team! That's the Spurs team for this event not ... The Spurs Team! But life doesn't get much better! (I can hear you singing now, “He’s one of our own…”)
We’ll be cycling the 145 miles in just two days, we hope, for Prostate Cancer UK, starting at London’s Olympic Stadium and finishing, hopefully, in the Amsterdam Arena on Saturday evening and we 'desperately' need your help to get to our target of £2,000 by sponsoring us through Just Giving at …https://www.justgiving.com/JohnPeterOBrien
Please help if you can, it’s for a great cause, this is now the biggest cancer killer of men prematurely in the UK, so we’d love your support for my June 3rd challenge. Go on – do it now … don’t put it off and forget … please!
