Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am raising funds in memory of my wonderful wife who tragically passed away on the 2nd January 2016 after being diagnosed just a few weeks earlier with primary peritoneal cancer - a rare and aggressive cancer that affects mostly women. The early symptoms of this cancer are easily mistaken for gastro-intestinal issues and it is very difficult to diagnose. So there is a need to raise awareness of this particularly dreadful disease and to promote research.
Jean was previously very fit and healthy and she was a devoted wife and mother. She was full of life and the very last person you would expect to be overtaken so quickly by this cancer. She had so many good friends, many of them around the world, and she had a remarkable gift for keeping in touch with all of them.
