Story
This page has been created in remembrance of John Vaux
John passed away, peacefully with his family around him on Saturday 10th April in hospital after a short, hard fought battle with cancer.
He was a beloved family man, sports fan and keen gardener who enjoyed spending most days sitting in his conservatory watching the birds with his dog Max or listening to Pompey on the radio.
We, his family are full of pride in how he fought so hard to stay with us on his own in hospital. Against all the odds he showed the true grit we all knew him for in trying to make it back to us.
Sadly he is no longer with us but we remember him as the devoted man he was to us, how much love we all shared and every moment we had with him.
He was a man of minimal fuss but was a huge Pompey fan so we have chosen PITC to receive donations in his name instead of flowers for his celebration of life.
Any donations will go to a wonderful project supporting a great many in need in Portsmouth and we feel its the most fitting tribute to our legend.
We thank you for any donations and as Dad would say, Play up Pompey
Best Wishes
